Counsellor Profile
I offer long and short-term face-to-face counselling to individuals and couples in a safe and quiet location. Here we can explore together what issues may be troubling you or those around you that affect you. Working with what you bring, without an agenda, I will try to help you untangle things that seem to be getting in the way of your quality of life and may seem at this point quite overpowering, confusing or give you a sense of being unable to move on. I place emphasis on the quality of our relationship to bring about wider and more empowering choices, new discoveries or help clarify thoughts and behaviours.
Working with couples it is understanding that all relationships go through difficult times - it's how you handle those times that makes the difference between staying together and splitting up. If you're experiencing any of the following, now is the time to consider couples counselling:
* When you talk to your partner, it feels as though you're hitting a brick wall.
* Your conversations just go round and round in never-ending circles.
* After you've talked, you feel frustrated and confused.
* You can't talk for more than a few minutes without it turning into a shouting match.
* You're afraid that if you bring up a certain subject, things will get even worse.
* There's nothing left to say.
Counselling is one of the most effective ways of becoming 'unstuck' in patterns that seem to block us at every turn; if you feel that things are just not right and its hard to talk to those around you, the non-judgemental nature of counselling may be a way forward. I am bound by the ethics of good practice from the BACP and as such require ongoing supervision and continual professional development.
I also provide e-mail counselling. If you prefer this form of counselling you can book securely online on the following link:
