Counsellor Profile
I specialize in eating disorder therapy and all food related issues. I provide a unique service, based upon my recovery some 19 years ago and quite simply offer what my clients have asked for and found difficult to find.
I am empathetic and supportive and understand the destructive mindset, together we challenge these negative beliefs, thoughts and behaviours and move into recovery. I use aspects of CBT, Counselling skills, coaching and other professional training and my experience in private practice to support my clients. My unique approach is increasingly recognized as effective, drawing on the process I have experienced personally.
I find my personal accounts of my experiences, reassure, reduce fear and instill a sense of 'wonder' at what life can and will be like in recovery!
I work with Male and Female clients suffering from anorexia, bulimia, compulsive binge eating, non specific eating disorders and distress and those who yo yo diet. I also offer rehabilitative life coaching. My clients are generally over 16 to adult (parents are welcome to contact me about younger children) I also work with parents and carers.
I am happy to discuss your individual requirements as one size doesn't fit all. Our sessions are tailored to meet your specific needs and packages can be created. I Work from my garden room in North Bucks and I am ideally situated on the borders of Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire. I work with clients all over the UK and worldwide, miles can be crossed with ease using the telephone with email support, subject to an initial assessment. I am fully insured. I look forward to hearing from you...
